WHAT WE DO WITH YOUR INFORMATION: When you purchase something from our store, as part of the buying and selling process, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, address and email address. When you browse our store, we also automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system. Email marketing (if applicable): With your permission, we may send you emails about our store, new products and other updates.

 

YOUR CONSENT: When you log onto the website, provide personal information to complete a transaction, verify your credit card, place an order, arrange for a delivery or return a purchase, we imply that you consent to our collecting your personal information and using it for that specific reason only.

 

If we ask for your personal information for any other reason, for example, to put you on our mailing list so we can send you marketing emails, we either ask you directly for your consent, or imply that you consented and provide you with an opportunity to say no by, for example, unsubscribing.

WIX: Our online store is hosted by WIX.COM. WIX provides us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell my paintings to you. Your data is stored through WIX data storage, databases and the general WIX application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall.

 

Payment: If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then Wix stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that, your information is deleted. All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers. Payment and Third-Party Links: Third-party links on this site may direct you to third-party websites that are not affiliated with us. We are not responsible for examining or evaluating the content or accuracy and we assume no liability or responsibility for any third-party materials or websites, or for any other materials, products, or services of third-parties. We are not liable for any harm or damages related to the purchase or use of goods, services, resources, content, or any other transactions made in connection with any third-party websites. Links:  When you click on the links in our store, the link may direct you away from our site. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other sites and encourage you to read their privacy statements.

 

Security: To protect your personal information, we use reasonable care and follow industry standards to ensure your personal information is properly safeguarded. We try to make sure it is not accessed, disclosed, lost, misused, altered, or destroyed. If you provide us with your credit card information, the information is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL) and stored with a AES-256 encryption. Although no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, we follow all PCI-DSS requirements and implement additional generally accepted industry standards.

 

Cookies are itsy bitsy sets of data stored in the User’s web-searching device. Because every time you search the Internet, your computer picks up so many Cookies, I suggest going into your device settings and clearing out your history, cache, and Cookies on a regular basis. Until you do, when you visit most storefronts, you will be collecting cookies galore. Due to the complexity of the Internet, I can’t be sure what programs will put cookies on your browser by visiting my site. I do know that if you clear your cache, browser and history on a regular basis, you have more hope of protecting your own privacy. I also think it helps to unsubscribe to the following cookie monsters that we believe GaylePrintz.com may be tied into.  To the best of my knowledge, the following third party providers this site may tie into are as follows: I list them so, if you know how and want to, you can opt out of their cookies:

 

Google Analytics: Our store may use Google Analytics to help us learn about who visits our site and what pages have the most traffic. 

WordPress: Collects and analyzes data

PREF: persistent for a very short period, set by Google and tracks who visits the store and from where.

Google reCAPTCHA (Google LLC): a spam protection service 

Facebook: Collects personal data through social networking posts 

Facebook Messenger Customer Chats (which this site does not yet have)

LinkedIn: links advertising data to actions performed on my website. 

Pinterest: Marketing and advertising tool 

Twitter: connects to a social platform

Instagram: social platform 

Google Analytics: a web analysis service that uses the Data collected to track and examine use of this Website and, of course, share that information with other Google services

Age of Consent: By using this site, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your state or province of residence, or that you are the age of majority in your state or province of residence and you have given us your consent to allow any of your minor dependents to use this site.

 

We reserve the right to change this privacy policy at any time, so please review it frequently. Posted changes and clarifications are effective immediately. If we make material privacy changes, you will find out here. We want to keep you fully apprised of the personal information collected, how it’s used, and if and when we have to disclose it. Though we have no intention of this happening, you should know that If our store is acquired or we merge with another company, we will probably have to transfer your information to the new owners so we can continue to enchant you with our Products.
